* What does teeth whitening do?
Teeth whitening lifts the stains that have accumulated on your teeth through ageing, coffee drinking, smoking, certain medications, red wine etc bringing your teeth to their optimal genetic condition. We guarantee 2 to 6 shades whiter, which is very significant.
We all have different colouring of our teeth. Some people have grey, yellow or pearl teeth. Teeth whitening would never change the genetic colouring of the teeth but it is always a rejuvenation for your smile, an upgrade for your appearance – It is a cosmetic treat. It is well worth it, leaving you with a shiny, brighter and whiter smile.
* Does teeth whitening paint our teeth white?
Teeth whitening, wherever you do it and how ever you would do it, whether you pay $150 or $1,000 - would never change the genetic colouring of your teeth, nor would it paint your teeth in an unnatural white. The American white smile would usually be caps.
* How effective and quick is it?
The 20 minute prowhitening procedure is very effective for teeth that have been stained by ageing or consumption of staining substances such as coffee, tea, colas, tobacco, red wine, etc. It also whitens teeth discolouration by medicines, such as tetracycline, antibiotics or excessive fluoride.

* Does the procedure hurt?
No, although sensitivity during the treatment may occur. On rare occasions, minor tingling sensations are experienced immediately after the procedure, but these will always dissipate.
* Sensitivities
Most people are not sensitive, but in rare occasions, people are not aware that they might be sensitive to the peroxide (as could happen at a hair salon). We do not recommend getting the treatment done less than 10 days before a special occasion, just in case sensitivities occur.
* Why is it so cheap?
It started in the US and UK that they realised that teeth whitening is not a part of the dental and medical industry, but is a simple, straightforward cosmetic procedure. This is what enables us to bring teeth whitening at such a reasonable price.
* Does teeth whitening work on veneers and caps?
Teeth whitening is always about lifting the stains that have accumulated on our teeth. With veneers and caps, it will bring them to the condition to that they were installed. This is highly recommended and works extremely well. Some people who have only 1 or 2 veneers are concerned that they will stand out more than the rest of the teeth. This is not the case as our product has a way of evening the teeth. It is always an upgrade to our smile
* Does teeth whitening damage the enamel?
Teeth whitening does not damage the enamel of your teeth. It works only on the surface of the tooth and does not penetrate the tooth in any way.
* How long does it last?
Teeth whitening can last up to 2 years. However, if you are a coffee drinker, smoker, consume colourful foods and drinks and even certain medications – these will stain your teeth sooner. We recommend doing the treatment every 6 months as maintenance. Generally the treatment will hold for up to 2 years.
* What type of light do you use?
Our accelerator uses the most advanced technology to produce a cold light. The LED light operates in a narrow wavelength range of the gentle blue spectrum. The process removes harmful heat and ultraviolet light, making the prowhitening accelerator the most advanced cold light whitening device on the market.
* What is in the gel?
The active ingredient Carbamide peroxide gel is what makes the teeth whiten.
* Is there aftercare?
In order for the results to last longer you should follow some simple care instructions. To keep your teeth looking their best, we recommend flossing and brushing twice daily – and also after using staining substances such as coffee, tea, colas, tobacco, red wine, etc. With proper oral hygiene you can maintain your beautiful white smile for up to two years.
* Keeping white pen
The prowhitening Keeping White Pen is used for general maintenance, specific areas of teeth, before any special occasions and it also improves the whitening process directly after a treatment. It should be used 1 to 2 times daily after brushing teeth by applying a thin layer with no need to rinse off. It has a refreshing taste and in some cases can even allow you to jump a shade or 2 lighter.
* Qualification of the prowhitening representatives
The reps are trained by prowhitening to demonstrate the use of the kit. This is a simple self use kit and by having a rep guiding you through the process, it will give you an easy, quick and pleasurable experience.
* Can teeth whitening damage dental work?
It is advised to ask your dentist / doctor if they have any concerns regarding your personal dental / oral condition. Teeth whitening is available over the counter in any chemist. In most cases, there should be no reason for concern.
* Is the Hairesteem product TGA approved?
The TGA – Theraputic Goods Administration – Teeth whitening products are regulated by the TGA as goods that are not therapeutic goods. It is regulated by the Australian Health Department NICNAS – National Industrial Chemical Notification and Assessment Scheme. Prowhitening holds a registered certificate with NICNAS.
